Standard range inserts have a total of 20 degrees between two implants. Extended range inserts have a total of 40 degrees between two implants.

This can likely be a chemical discoloration problem which is the result of improper cleaning. Avoid using overnight cleaning solutions that are not made for the LOCATOR system. Recommend replacing the retention inserts.

LOCATOR R-Tx has a limited range option that can work in some situations with a total divergence of 10 degrees between two implants. The LOCATOR R-Tx standard range inserts have 60 total degree divergence between two implants which is higher than the standard legacy LOCATOR divergence of only 20, because of this the R-Tx standard range inserts can result in the restorations ability to become too mobile.

LOCATOR inserts should be replaces on average every year. This range may vary from 6 months to 2 years depending on the patients habits and many other factors.
