The spherical reconstruction system can be attached inside
of every type of "hollow" attachment, or those with a distal extension ring,
like Ceka, ERA, etc. The sphere allows existing crown and bridge work to
be saved while utilizing a stable, retentive new attachment.

| This can be done directly in
the mouth, or processed indirectly using fabrication analogues. The
TiN coating allows a long lifetime for the sphere, and multiple retention
options exist for the female. |
Step by
Step

Insert the micro sphere in the tool
and verify that there is enough clearance inside the female attachment for
the micro sphere to pass through (FIG 1) |

If the fit is too tight,
loosen it by using a conical bur until the extension of the micro sphere
attachment passes through. It is necessary to have the extension of
the sphere and the internal walls of the female rough to assure an increased
bond (FIG 2). |

When retrofitting
extracoronal attachments, cover the tissue area with tin foil (single or
double thickness), then fill the female attachment with Ceka Site anaerobic
metal to metal bonding composite (FIG 3). Use a fresh 1:1 mixture
for each attachment. |

Insert the micro repair
sphere in to the female attachment and hold it in place with slight
pressure, assuring an accurate fit, until the bonding composite sets (10
minutes). Because Ceka site is anaerobic, you can simply wipe off any
excess material, making sure to smooth out the underside (FIG 4). |

Slide the provided aluminum
disk over the sphere. Snap the female attachment on the sphere (FIG
5). |

Relieve the area in the
existing prosthesis in order to accomodate the size of the attachment cap.
Align the relief area with the attachment, cut a lingual escape vent for
excess resin, apply cold-cure acrylic resin, and seat the prosthesis with
finger pressure only. (FIG 6). Once the resin has set, polish
and finish the prosthesis. |
